Senator Pérez issues statement on the election of Nithya Raman as Los Angeles Mayor

SACRAMENTO – Senator Sasha Renée Pérez (D-Pasadena) issued the following statement on the election of Nithya Raman as Mayor of Los Angeles:

"I offer my congratulations and best wishes to Los Angeles Mayor-elect Nithya Raman on her victory. Voters in the city of Los Angeles have selected a new leader who will be focused on helping residents deal with the very complex issues facing America’s second largest city.

“As the State Senator representing communities in the San Gabriel Valley, I look forward to working with Mayor-elect Raman. We share many of the same values, a focus on addressing the affordability crisis, a desire to take on entrenched powers, and a commitment to public service.
